Your doctor or healthcare professional will tell you how much of this medicine to use and how often. It is not advisable to take more medicine or more often than your doctor tells you to. Pulmicort Respules is a liquid medicine which is used in
children and it should be inhaled with a device called a nebulizer. Pulmicort Turbuhaler is a powder which should be inhaled with a special inhaler device that comes with the medicine.
Dosage
The doses of differ for different patients. However, normal doses for adults are 1-4 actuations twice daily and 1-2 puffs twice daily for children. For those with mild asthma, treatment once daily may be sufficient.
Interactions
No drug interactions have been reported with inhaled budesonide. However, ketoconazole increases the concentrations in blood of budesonide, and this enhances side effects of budesonide.
Side Effects
Dry or irritated mouth or throat, cough, difficult or painful speech, dizziness, difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, neck pain, stomach pain etc.
Warnings Recalls
You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to budesonide. This medicine is not to be used during an asthma attack.
